Armand D. “Pete” Moles

1928-2020 

Armand D. “Pete” Moles, 91, of Marshall, Missouri, died Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.

Private family services will be held and friends may call from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. If you choose to come by the funeral home, face masks are required, and social distancing will be observed. Burial with military rites will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the Buckner Wellness Center in Marshall or Maryville Chapter FFA. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born October 8, 1928, in Butler, Missouri, he was the son of the late Jesse I. Moles and Mae Bell Crockett Moles. He was a 1946 graduate of Maryville High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree and Master’s degree from University of MO-Columbia. On January 8, 1954, he married Shirley Davis who preceded him in death on November 30, 2013. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict earning a Purple Heart and combat infantryman badge.  He lived in Saline County since 1963 and was CEO of MFA Livestock Association. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Marshall, the masonic lodge and Malta Bend American Legion Post 558.  

Survivors include five children: Rodger Moles of Marshall, Mark Moles (Kathy) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Steven Moles (Linda) of Marshall, Lisa Doak (Harry) of Milan, Missouri and Lori Wallace (Dwayne) of Columbia; 14 grandchildren: Michael Moles (Alexis), Jennifer Viscomi (Ryan), Justin Moles (Abbie), Elliot Moles, Taylor Wallace, Garrett Wallace, Hillary Robedeaux (Billy), Zackary Doak, Kyley Doak, Quinn Doak, Alisha Sharp (Jody), Amanda Roberts (Ryan), Andy Doak and  April  Mease (Tyler); 11 great-grandchildren: Makena Viscomi, Mason Viscomi, Mallory Lee Moles, Marissa Dawn Moles, Elavia Sharp, Jaka Sharp, Reed Roberts, Avner Mease, Leora Mease, Lex Mease and Machlan Robedeaux; and several nieces and nephews.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one brother, Lyle Moles; and one sister, Sharlyn Linard.
