MARYVILLE, Mo. — Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County is seeking a new partner family for 2020 and will host two informational meetings later this month.
The informational meetings are designed to present interested families with information they need about Habitat for Humanity and the building process.
Income guidelines, participation requirements and program details will be discussed, and application packets will be provided.
According to a news release from the organization, local residents are encouraged to apply if they:
- Have a desire to improve their home conditions and work to own a home
- Have a stable income, pay their bills on time and want a better home but don’t have the ability to save a down payment
- Have excessive utility bills that hinder their ability to provide for their family and improve their living conditions
Enhancing this year’s building project is a partnership forged by Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County with the Maryville R-II school district and its building trades program at Northwest Technical School.
The boards for both organizations approved a memorandum of understanding in April that will help local students acquire profession-based learning while completing the home for Habitat and its next partner by June 2021.
The informational meetings will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, May 19, and Thursday, May 21.
Interested families must attend one informational meeting to be considered for a home.
For meeting times, Zoom access and more information, interested families should call 660-254-4410 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
