ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — The Missouri Corn Growers and Northwest Corn Growers are planning to host an informational meeting Thursday, Jan. 16 at the Fulkerson Center at Missouri Western State College, 4525 Downs Drive, St. Joseph, MO 64507.
The meeting is set to begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. with the formal program beginning at 9 a.m., according to an organization news release. All farmers and those from adjoining states are invited. Lunch will be provided by local and regional agribusinesses.
This year’s program will address marketing crops with Dan Basse, from Ag Resource Company from Chicago.
Bryce Andrew, DTN analyst, plans to discuss weather outlook and help plan for the upcoming season.
Corey Lesher, Farm Service Agency County director, will discuss the changes to the farm bill and inform growers of decisions they will be facing.
Also, Missouri corn representatives plan to update growers on events and policies affecting the corn market. U.S. Rep. Sam Graves or a staff member from his office, also plans to give a Washington policy update.
