Oak Pointe celebrates with a taste of Assisted Living Week

Residents of the Oak Pointe assisted living facility visited Backyard Vine and Wine for a wine tasting field trip Friday afternoon as part of the facility’s weeklong celebration of National Assisted Living Week. A community celebration with live entertainment, lunch and tractor-made ice cream is planned for Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Oak Pointe, 817 S. Country Club Rd. $5 for a hot dog plate, $10 for a hamburger plate, both of which include chips, fruit, cookie and drink. Donations of $10 or more receive a small gift.
