MARYVILLE, Mo. — A northwest Missouri man was injured when he lost control of his vehicle Wednesday night on an icy highway near Sheridan.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Charles W. Hunter, of Hopkins, was driving north on State Route E about six miles west of Sheridan just after 9 p.m. Wednesday when his 1995 Ford F-150 traveled off the east side of the highway and overturned, coming to rest on the driver’s side. Hunter reportedly lost control because of the ice covering the roadway.
Hunter was wearing a seat belt, according to the report, and suffered minor injuries. He was transported to Mosaic Medical Center – Maryville by ambulance, and his truck was totaled.
