HOPKINS, Mo. — The Hopkins Board of Aldermen is looking to fill a vacancy following a member’s resignation.

At the board’s regular meeting Monday evening, the body accepted the resignation of South Ward Alderman Brandon Kreps, who is moving out of town.

Any qualifying Hopkins resident interested in filling the seat has until 9 a.m. on Aug. 21 to submit a letter of interest to the city clerk.

A special meeting is set for Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. to reorganize the board after a new member has been selected.
