NODAWAY COUNTY, Mo. — A 34-year-old male was taken to Clarinda Regional Hospital after being involved in a wreck Monday at 5:38 p.m. about 1 mile south of Braddyville, Iowa.
Jason L. Ritnour, 34, of Tarkio, was taken with moderate injuries to the hospital by Nodaway County EMS personnel.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when the 1996 Chevrolet driven by Ritnour eastbound on U.S. Highway 71 failed to stop at a stop sign. The vehicle crossed over the highway, struck a road sign, went airborne and came to rest in a field.
The driver is listed as not wearing a safety device.
The vehicle was a total loss and was towed from the scene by Walker’s Body Shop & Towing.
The crash report was filed by Trooper B.E. Maudlin, who was assisted at the scene by Trooper A.J. Kempa, the Nodaway County Sheriff's Department, Clearmont Fire and Rescue and the Burlington Junction Fire Department.
