MARYVILLE, Mo. — Effective Monday, Aug. 10, due to the rise of positive COVID-19 cases in Nodaway County, the Mosaic Medical Center – Maryville Walk-in Clinic process is being modified.

Patients experiencing COVID-19 symptoms are to first call the new COVID-19 Nurse Call Line, 660-562-5357.

The phone line will be used to triage patients and scheduled appointments in the most appropriate place.

Based on the triage call, patients may be scheduled for COVID-19 testing or directed to a virtual or in-person visit.

“The purpose of the call line is to create a single point of entry and care for patients to reduce the risk of exposure and infection,” said Misty Million, practice manager at Mosaic Specialty Care – East, in a statement. “Patients experiencing COVID-19 symptoms are encouraged to call first. They can call either their primary care provider or the COVID-19 Nurse Call Line. If the provider feels the patient needs to be seen, they will be scheduled for an appointment.”

Hours for the clinic are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday; 8 a.m. to noon Saturday; and 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, phone access only.

“We strive to provide exceptional care in the safest way possible for both patients and caregivers and will continue to modify our approach as the needs arise,” Million said.
