Ten Squared Women gives to Santa Cops

Ten Squared Women of Nodaway County presented a check for $9,200 to Santa Cops For Kids Monday afternoon. Pictured are, from left, James Duncan, Maryville Treatment Center; Amanda Twaddle, Ten Squared Women; Ian Meyers, Maryville Public Safety, holding son, Beckett; Kyle Hoyt, Northwest Missouri State UPD; Shadoe Miller, UPD; and Maryville R-II Schools Superintendent Becky Albrecht. According to Meyers, this is a game-changer. “For a small program like we are … The one thing that I think tends to get looked over is the fact that there are so few law enforcement officers in northwest Missouri that now we’re being overrun by the number of kiddos that we’re trying to assist.” Last Christmas the effort helped more than 60 area children have a more enjoyable Christmas by helping them purchase toys. Meyers said these funds will help to not only maintain the program, but also add some additional elements.
