Maryville Community Center sign

Maryville Parks and Recreation will consolidate the events and marketing supervisor position and the community manager position as part of a larger reorganization of the department.

MARYVILLE, Mo. — Maryville Parks and Recreation will be restructuring after the departure of two longtime staff members.

MPR Director Jeff Stubblefield announced the resignations of community center manager Kaley Coulter and Events and Marketing Supervisor Jordyn Greenhaw at last week’s board meeting. Both acquired other jobs.

Stubblefield, who took over the department in September, said he plans to fold some of the marketing responsibilities into the community center manager position as part of a larger reorganization of the department.

He hopes quickly to complete the search for a new manager, and have someone in place by March 1.

Weight room flooring/equipment auction

Stubblefield said at last week’s board meeting that MPR made a little more than $3,000 through an online auction of old exercise equipment, exceeding the department’s expectations.

He noted that the money from the auction was in itself enough to pay for new, rubberized flooring for the community center’s weight room.

The board voted to purchase and install the flooring last month to improve safety in the weight room.

Installation of the flooring is expected this month.
