MARYVILLE, Mo. — The Northeast Nodaway R-V school district has begun its search for a new superintendent.
School board president Kenny Runde told The Forum over the phone that the district has enlisted the Missouri Association of Rural Education to handle the search process.
According to a notice posted to the organization’s website dated Jan. 4, the search is expected to be a speedy one: applications for the position are due Feb. 1, with interviews slated for the following week and a final hire to be made by the end of that month.
Runde said that superintendent Ken Grove will remain on paid administrative leave through the end of his contract on July 1. Grove has been on leave since October.
Principal Jason McDowell, who was named Exemplary Principal of the Year by the Northwest Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals in November, has served as interim superintendent.
