MARYVILLE, Mo. — Home Instead Senior Care, of St. Joseph, has opened a second office in Maryville that will serve Atchison, Gentry, Harrison, Holt, Nodaway and Worth counties.

The new office, located at 217 E. 1st St. in Maryville, will provide non-medical in-home care to older adults and families in the area.

Owner Brent Hoffart opened the St. Joseph office four years ago, and is now expanding services to Maryville area families.

“The new office allows us to be a more integrated part of the community while serving older adults and their families in Maryville and the surrounding areas,” Hoffart said in a press release. “The addition of a new general manager to manage the Maryville office will help our CAREGivers who already serve the area, and we are hiring additional CAREGivers to help us meet the increased demand for professional, reliable and compassionate in-home care for area residents.”

Andrea Anderson, the Maryville general manager, said in a release that she has a desire to give back to her own community in a meaningful way, and the opportunity to help older adults stay in their home as they age appeals to her.

“This is our community, where families and trusting relationships come first, and it is important to me to make a difference every day,” Anderson said. “Seeing the bond between our CAREGivers and the older adults we serve, and knowing we are fulfilling their wish to stay at home, is extremely rewarding.”

Home Instead Senior Care provides personalized care, support and education to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families. The St. Joseph and Maryville offices together serve local families with approximately 90 dedicated staff and professional CAREGivers, and are currently hiring more to serve older adults in the expanded area. Home Instead is part of the largest in-home care network in the country. Services include personal care, meal preparation, shopping, light housekeeping, medication reminders and companionship. Other services include dementia care and continued care for patients released from the hospital.

Along with personalized care, Home Instead Senior Care provides resources and materials about aging-related issues for families in the community.

“The resources we provide demonstrate our commitment to the community, and I am proud that the care we provide to older adults helps them stay as independent as possible, safely, and with dignity,” Anderson said. “We are excited about the opportunity to provide excellent care to older adults in the Maryville area.”
