MARYVILLE, Mo. — Mosaic Medical Center – Maryville announced Tuesday the expansion of of its orthopedics and sports medicine program, adding two new doctors to the program.

Drs. Peter Dawson, Brian Duncan, William Humphreys and Blake Peterson will see patients weekly at the hospital. Dawson and Humphreys, additions to the sports medicine team, have begun seeing patients at the facility, adding to Peterson and Duncan.

“This is a tremendous benefit to the residents of Maryville and communities near us,” said Nate Blackford, Mosaic Medical Center – Maryville president. “Dr. Humphreys, Dr. Peterson and Dr. Duncan bring decades of combined experience as orthopedic surgeons with excellent reputations, and Dr. Dawson is one of the leading doctors in our area with sports medicine and physical medicine expertise. We are fortunate to have them care for our patients.”

Dawson, a Maryville native, is board certified in both sports medicine and physical medicine rehabilitation. He treats injuries and arthritis of all joints, including shoulders, hips and knees, along with many other kinds of treatments for muscles, tendons and nerves. He sees patients every Wednesday at Mosaic Specialty Care – West in Maryville. Appointments can be made at 816-271-7673.

Duncan treats chronic, acute and sports-related orthopedic injuries and conditions. Duncan sees patients every Thursday at Mosaic Specialty Care – West in Maryville.

Humphreys treats acute and chronic injuries and conditions of the ankle, hand, hip, knee and other joints in addition to orthopedic trauma and sports medicine care. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Humphreys sees patients every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Mosaic Specialty Care – West in Maryville.

Peterson is fellowship-trained in adult reconstruction and specializes in joint replacement, but offers non-surgical treatments for a variety of orthopedic conditions. Peterson sees patients every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at Mosaic Specialty Care – West in Maryville.
