SEDALIA, Mo. — The Missouri State Fair is gearing up to kick off with Opening Day today in Sedalia, Missouri.
According to a news release, tents big and small, concession and vendor stands, the carnival and buildings are beginning to come to life all around the fairgrounds.
Livestock also has started to move into the barns, and competitive exhibit buildings are filling up with award-winning entries.
The fair will run for 11 days.

Dwight Yoakam with King Leg kicks off the fair tonight at the Pepsi Grandstand.
Foreigner with Night Ranger is scheduled for the Friday Aug. 16 show.
