MARYVILLE, Mo. — Maryville Parks and Recreation is set for this year’s Concerts in the Park series with three concerts in June at the amphitheater in Donaldson-Westside Park.
Saturday, June 1, will feature Soca Jukebox, which specializes in a blend of island-rock that includes classic hits in rock, reggae, country, calypso and soca.
The five-piece ensemble is made up of a battery of shimmering steel pans, an array of Latin percussion, a rhythm section and guitar.
Saturday, June 8, will feature Lyin’ Eyes, an Eagles tribute band dedicated to accurately recreating the music of one of America’s favorite bands. With five musicians playing a variety of instruments, Lyin’ Eyes will perform Eagles hits drawn from across 40 years of music.
Saturday, June 15, will close out the series with Elton Dan and the Rocket Band as they pay tribute to one of the all-time greatest performers: Elton John.
Elton Dan, known for his rapport with the audience and stage presence, features piano playing and over-the-top costumes that call to mind Elton in days past.
The Concerts in the Park series is sponsored by Tri State Ford of Maryville and is free to the public. All concerts will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Donaldson-Westside Park amphitheater.
