MARYVILLE, Mo. — Maryville High School and Maryville Middle School bands performed in the Winter Band Concert on Friday night at the Lee and Nina Schneider Center for the Performing Arts.

With increasingly difficult holiday music from around the globe, the audience could hear the progression students make from the sixth grade band through the high school band.

Sixth Grade Band songs: "Santa's Angry Elves," "Dreidel Song," "Jingle Bells," "Kwanzaa Celebration," "Jolly Old St. Nicholas" and "A Rather Bumps Sleigh Ride."

Seventh Grade Band songs: "December Triptych," "It is Well" and an armed forces medley, before which Director of Bands Tim Gilham asked those in the audience who have served their country to stand and be recognized.

Eighth Grade Band songs: "A Brief Nutcracker Suite," "Still, Still, Still" and "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch."

Maryville High School Symphonic Band songs: "Wonderful Christmastime," "Passacaglia on an Old English Carol," "The Joyful Rose of Winter," "The Fate of the Gods" and "Oh Come All Ye Faithful," led as an audience singalong.
