PARNELL, Mo. — The Parnell Duck Race & Festival is set for Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12.
On Saturday festivities will kick off at 7:45 p.m. with a family movie in the park at Bandstand.
Fireworks will be presented by the Parnell Volunteer Fire Department starting around 9:30 p.m.
From 8 p.m. to midnight, the Fire Department Beer Garden and music will be held in the East City Park under the shelter.
On Sunday, the Methodist Church BBQ will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The parade themed "Magic Happens," is set to start at 11:30 a.m. starting at the Parnell United Methodist Church.
Homemade ice cream will be available starting at noon until its gone at the Lions Club Shelter.
Outlaw Creek Band will perform from noon to 4 p.m. on the bandstand.
The Northeast Nodaway senior class sponsored Duck Race on the Platte River will begin at 1:30 p.m.
The Kids' Pedal Pull will be held at 2 p.m. in Middle Park.
All day activities include: a craft and vendor fair, Minute to Win It games, raffles and more.
